Anuk Naumann qualified and worked as an architect for some years before making a change in career to take up her first love: painting. Working from her studio in the Cotswolds Anuk uses mixed media to create vibrant paintings, which combine texture with acrylic paints, to create her unique style of work. Exploiting the layering process of texturing with papers, combined with an unusual way of laying down paint, gives Anuk's paintings a subtlety not often associated with acrylics.
The course will explore different ways of creating a mixed media painting using water based paints. Anuk will demonstrate all stages of the processes with which she works. Students will be encouraged to ‘loosen up’ their work and to approach their methods of working in a different way. The course will suit both experienced painters and beginners as everyone should discover new ways of looking at how they produce a final piece of work. Many are inspired by her enthusiasm and Anuk will provide encouragement and individual tuition throughout the course.
