Eleanor has a broad range of teaching experience and her own art school in Ullapool: Bridge House Art. She is also involved in community education and travelling workshops. She is a visiting tutor at the Leith School of Art, Edinburgh and is an enthusiastic and inspiring tutor.
Drawing directly from the landscape gives the starting point for this course. Once images are found that inspire, Eleanor will help students develop them in ways that will give ‘clues’ to the bigger, more open, picture of abstracted landscape art. The group will look specifically at colour and texture, creating atmospheres, use of symbols and divisions of the picture plane that help take a step onward from direct landscape painting. This course will suit those wishing to experiment with a wide range of media.
